My Best Things This Week. 04.05.15featured

Seeing as we’ve just had a Bank Holiday weekend, I’ve decided to include Monday 4th May in this week’s list. Here are my Best Things This Week!

1. I spent quite a lot of the Bank Holiday weekend on my bike, and even spent a bit of time exercising at home. After several squats, bicycle crunches and various other exercises that involved waving my legs in the air, I can safely say I’m in a little bit of agony right now.

2. I’m feeling really excited about going on holiday to Tunisia in June.

3. I cooked a lovely curry for Jake (usually he does all the cooking) and even got him some naan bread even though I can’t eat it. What a selfless person I am 😉

4. On my way home from work on Friday I spotted a homeless fella with a sign that said he’d write a poem for every person who gave him some money. It was such a sweet idea that I couldn’t really say no, so I gave him a bit of cash and he wrote the following poem for me. What a talented guy!

5. Jake and I baked some gluten free cookies using a Hale & Hearty mix. They were pretty nice.

6. I had a huge clear out on Sunday evening and managed to sort loads of clothes into two categories. The first, clothes to sell on eBay, the second, things to get rid of on car boot sales.

7. While having a clear out, I managed to find the bikinis I haven’t worn since I went to Bulgaria in 2013. It was all downhill after that holiday as I gained loads of weight, but I was super excited this week to discover they’re now a little bit too big for me! Perfect excuse for a long awaited shopping trip.

8. A few days ago Mirror Money shared my £6,000 in 6 months story on Facebook again. When a few strangers left some negative comments, a load of old friends rallied round to stick up for me! Even though the comments weren’t really nasty, it made me feel so happy to hear from people who’ve got my back.

9. On Bank Holiday Monday I went for a walk with my Dad up to Chorlton, where we had a couple of drinks in Horse and Jockey and The Spoon Inn. Would highly recommend them both to any fellow Mancunians. Dad also treated me to an overpriced 99 from an ice cream van. Top bloke.

10. House of Cards. Oh my word. We’re only on the second season. But I think we can all agree Season 2 Episode 1 was a bit of a shocker. Crikey.
