Work with me

Can’t Swing a Cat is a blog about improving your financial situation and saving for the future without sacrificing your happiness in the present.

Whether you want to save for a deposit on your first home, travel the world or achieve financial independence, I want to help you get the life you want.

I’m not going to tell you to spend all afternoon cutting coupons or filling in boring online surveys, I’m interested in helping you find sustainable ways to improve your finances.

I also won’t encourage you to give up everything you enjoy in life. From treating yourself to a pint in your nearest beer garden to a sightseeing weekend in Berlin, there’s no need to sacrifice life’s luxuries or explorations in search of financial security.

At Can’t Swing a Cat, you’ll learn how to ask for a pay rise, find a second job, and make money at home. You’ll learn the importance of compound interest, emergency funds, and pensions. Are you still with me? Good. You’ll also gain plenty of thrifty tips to help you make the most of what you’ve got and make your money go further than you ever thought possible.

I promise to keep it interesting and jargon free. With the help of real life stories from twenty somethings all around the world, I hope to inspire you to have faith in yourself, grow your wealth, and improve your life.

Still not convinced I can help you? In October 2015 I achieved my goal of saving £10,000 in a year. I’m now on a mission to save £12,000 in a year – while living in a rented flat in Manchester. Follow the tips on this blog and there’s no reason why you can’t grow your wealth too! I can’t wait to hear how you get on!

  • Hi Jenni,
I work at a TV company called Betty and we’re currently producing a show about money saving on holiday. I came across the Daily Mail news article about your thrifty habits and you look like you might be perfect for the show. I wondered if we might be able to have a chat at some point this afternoon or tomorrow morning?
It would be great if you could let me know the best number to contact you on or feel free to call me directly on 0207 290 0532 if you have any questions.
I look forward to hearing from you.
    Kind regards,
    Natasha
